What You'll Do
- Set up and operate forging presses and hammers according to production requirements
- Prepare and position metal stock for forging processes
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, and forming parameters to ensure product quality
- Inspect raw materials and finished parts to verify specifications and dimensional accuracy
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and tooling
- Perform routine equipment checks and minor adjustments
- Assist with die changes, setups, and housekeeping activities
- Complete production records and documentation accurately
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Communicate equipment or process concerns to Leads and Maintenance personnel
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or forging experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work safely in a hot industrial environment
- Forklift and crane experience is a plus
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and inspect materials and dies up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and work around heavy industrial equipment
- Exposure to heat, noise, and manufacturing conditions
- Must wear required personal protective equipment
