The MetroHealth System was founded in 1837 to serve the residents of Cleveland, Ohio and Cuyahoga County. It is a non-profit, mission-driven institution with 3 hospitals, more than 20 health centers, and 40 additional sites across the county, and is the key public hospital teaching site for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. MetroHealth is a nationally recognized academic and tertiary referral medical center, with an American College of Surgeons-verified Level I adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma center, as well as busy advanced robotic and endoscopic surgery practices. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive urologic care for adult patients, including diagnosis and management of urinary tract and male reproductive system disorders.
Perform a full spectrum of urologic procedures, including: Endoscopic procedures (cystoscopy, ureteroscopy)
Stone management (laser lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy)
Prostate interventions (TURP, MIST therapies)
Basic oncology surgeries (TURBT, prostate biopsy, surgical management of bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer)
Minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques including opportunities for robotic surgery (DaVinci XI and SP robots available); robotic surgery experience preferred
Participate in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics.
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and surgical settings.
Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research and publications.
Contribute to departmental initiatives in quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology.
Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, education, and research.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
