Miles & Stockbridge is seeking a Temporary HR Manager for our Benefits and Leave Administration. The person in this role will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the firm’s benefits program and leave administration. This role also plays a key part in ensuring compliance and supporting employee well-being. This role will also oversee key projects and collaborate with other HR team members and vendors to ensure effective service delivery, while leveraging internal support for projects and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

* Oversee all group benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and voluntary benefits. Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process. Work closely with the HR Leadership, Benefits Committee, insurance brokers

and outside vendors to execute the firm’s benefits package with compliance and fiscally responsible strategies. * Serve as the primary contact for benefits brokers and third-party administrators. * Ensure compliance with and reporting for ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other federal/state requirements. * Oversee the delivery of employee benefits education and communication strategies including new hire benefits orientation. * Work closely with Senior Director of Human Resources to develop the firm’s Wellness Strategy. * Execute and manage the firm’s Wellness programs and provide oversight of wellness committee. * Oversee the administration of Firm leave programs including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and other statutory and company-sponsored leaves. * Oversee the leave request process and provide guidance to employees and managers on leave-related inquiries and procedures. * Ensure accurate and confidential leave tracking in coordination with payroll and HRIS systems. Participate in regular audits to ensure accuracy and data integrity. Collaborate with HR Generalists and the HR Assistant by delegating

administrative tasks related to benefits, data collection, and documentation. Work closely with the HR Director on strategic projects and policy updates. Serve as a subject matter expert and internal resource for benefits, leave,

and HR Operations topics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study. 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on benefits and leave

administration. * Extensive knowledge of relevant employment laws and compliance requirements (ACA, FMLA, ADA, etc.). Experience using UKG/UltiPro HRIS highly preferred. Must be employee focused and detail oriented. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR) a plus.

The pay range for this position is $119,000 - $135,000. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds.
