Industrial Painter roles on night shift (Mon–Thu 5:00pm–3:15am) or weekend shift (Fri–Sun 12-hour shifts) with JWF Defense Systems in Johnstown, PA, applying protective coatings to commercial and defense components. Job Description
Successful candidates will use different spray applications to apply protective coatings to both commercial and defense components.
Essential Duties
Mixes paint according to specifications.
Moves switches and dials to start flow current and to activate conveyor and paint spraying equipment.
Readjusts pressure valves to control direction and pattern of spray and to correct flaws in coating.
Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas. Hand sprays parts to cover unpainted areas.
Cleans paint from ceiling and walls of booth, conveyor hooks or grid, and from disks, cones, spray heads, and hoses.
Education Level
High School diploma or GED
Experience
Work requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in industrial painting, powder coating, and/or CARC.
Vo-tech or other training may be substituted for experience.
Auto body painting experience is preferred.
Work requires a high level of attention to detail, and the willingness/motivation to learn to operate all of our painting equipment.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
