Interventional Radiologic Technologist role supporting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures (e.g., angioplasties, biopsies, ablations, stenting) using fluoroscopy. You’ll set up sterile trays, position patients, capture images, and document exams in CHL and PACS at Cone Health. Essential Job Function
Performs minimally invasive exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable. Operates and maintains specialized interventional radiology equipment, adhering to safety protocols and performing regular maintenance checks to ensure accurate and reliable imaging during procedures. Assists radiologists and other medical staff during interventional procedures, providing real-time imaging support to aid in accurate placement of devices and therapeutic interventions. Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow. Assists with patient transport as necessary to ensure the smooth flow of patient care and support during procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
Experience Licensure/Certification/Listing
Required: ARRT (R) Radiologic Technologist ? Dx and/or RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive SpecialistBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare
