As an experienced machinist, you will take on the most complex machining and fitting tasks, working with a variety of parts, tools, and machines to support production operations and job shop machining. You'll be responsible for laying out work based on blueprints, sketches, and written specifications, and setting up and operating a wide range of machine tools. Your role will involve performing progressive machining operations with very close tolerances, often on work with unique or challenging requirements. You'll determine the best sequences for operations and skillfully use all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments. With a deep understanding of the working properties of various materials, you'll also program Fanuc and Okuma CNC machines to produce precise parts. Additionally, you will fit and assemble parts as needed and act as a technical resource for less experienced machinists, guiding them through more complex tasks.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 5:00am-3:30pm

What You'll Do

  • Follow work instructions, drawings, established quality standards, and established safety protocols.
  • Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment, including, but not limited to, CNC lathe, CNC mill, conventional lathe, conventional mill, etc. Perform set up of machinery for others.
  • Coordinate rush orders into daily schedule and assign tasks to appropriate machinist or machine operator.
  • Can calculate tooling speeds and feeds and can teach others.
  • Has specialized knowledge of metal properties, shop mathematics, and shop documents.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in a machinist or production role or technical college
  • Strong math, computer, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle small tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints/sketches
  • Work to very close tolerances

Base Compensation Range: $32.02-$48.03 per hour. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Our salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.
