Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate lapping machines according to the manufacturing plan
- Remove material from gage blocks to exact specifications
- Measure gages throughout the process using precision measuring tools
- Continually monitor machine operation, adjusting feed and temperature as needed
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met and identify any flaws
- Troubleshoot issues and work with supervisors and coworkers to resolve them
- Perform routine cleaning and basic machine and work-area maintenance
- Meet daily production assignments while maintaining consistent, high-quality output
- Follow all safety, quality, and process requirements
