Responsibilities
- Under the direction of shop foreman, or supervisor, operate CNC lathes in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
- Use program information to determine the correct set-up, edit programs, make offsets, ensure part program matches print to produce the correct part.
- Utilizing semi-automatic equipment or crane, load and correctly orientate part, operate control in machining, deburring and inspection of parts, ensure first articles are performed.
- Identify problems before production runs, then start and observe machine operation to detect situations causing out-of-tolerance conditions, make necessary correction.
- Read work order, job travelers, and precision measuring instruments to determine dimensions, and tolerances are within specifications.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Comply with all NOV company, and HSE, HR QTS policies, and procedures
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Facility Specific Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision of shop foreman or supervisor operate CNC lathe to repair or manufacture drill string components. Measure and document dimensional data.
- Ensure Work Order, part print, and program are correct before starting the job.
- Maintain production output while observing HSE safety requirements.
- Code 70 certification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Preform and document daily maintenance
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Physically able to stand, reach, and rotate for 8-10 hours per day
- Good Visual Acuity and Color Perception.
- Basic knowledge of Mazatrol & FANUC controls.
