- Program CNC mills using Camworks.
- Must also be able to program and operate one or more of the following Specialty machines: CNC Grinder, CNC High Speed Mills or Wire EDM.
- Must be capable and willing to train other machinists, showing them the proper way to use common shop Machine tools and inspection equipment
- Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds
- Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions to make parts.
- Reading complex prints, designs, able to transfer in and out of CNC machines
- Must be able to read G & M code.
- Makes fixtures for machines
- Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Experience in a machine shop is required
- Experience with 3-axis milling is required
- CNC mill programming experience preferred
- Experience with CAMWorks and SolidWorks or equivalent CAM and CAD software is required
- Experience with 5-axis milling is preferred
- EDM experience preferred
- Knowledge of precision measuring devices
- Work to close tolerances
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches
- Advanced shop mathematics skills
- Broad knowledge of machine shop practices
- Proven mechanical aptitude
