- Lead mechanical design of automation systems, equipment, and tooling, integrating mechanical, pneumatic systems.
- Develop advanced concepts, layouts, and specifications for new automated equipment and enhancements to existing systems.
- Oversee creation of detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
- Drive prototype development, evaluate performance, and refine designs for reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage project timelines, engineering workflows, and cross-functional communication to ensure successful project execution
- Conduct detailed design compliance reviews and implement modifications based on test results and production feedback.
- Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and direction to junior designers and project team.
- Support long-term product and equipment evolution through continuous improvement and lifecycle design updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Design Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience within a manufacturing or automation-focused environment.
- Deep expertise with 3D design - SolidWorks is a plus, including assembly design and complex modeling.
- Proven experience designing full machines, automation systems, robotics, or integrated production equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and interface effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams.
