Overview:

Maintenance Technician

RiverWoods in Exeter is currently seeking a maintenance technician to come and join our team and help provide excellent and quality customer service in support of our residents and community. This position is Full Time with primarily day shift hours 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday however snow removal may require flexibility of schedule. Weekend coverage is also needed on a rotating schedule every 3 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Performs general repairs and maintenance tasks, responding to Work Orders in order of priority or as directed. Responds to urgent requests from staff and residents in a timely manner.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance and inspection tasks.
  • Responds to pull cord and pendant activations or alarms and responds to all other emergency situations as required. Works with emergency responders to ensure the fastest possible response time to 911 calls.
  • Performs custodial functions for common areas including public bathrooms, at all times that housekeeping is not on duty or unavailable.
  • Participates in seasonal snow clean-up, cleaning and moving resident cars and performing other snow-related duties.
  • Supports after-hour emergency requirements. May be subject to “On Call” status.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools is required.

A basic knowledge of general maintenance and equipment repairs along with a minimum of one year experience in the field are also a requirement.

Experience in trades is desirable

Valid Driver's License is required

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
