Who are we hiring?
The Manager Financial Reporting and Data Governance is responsible for overseeing the governance and integrity of the organization’s Chart of Accounts (COA), developing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, and assisting VP Finance Operations & Optimization in supporting all aspects of the Company’s financial transformation and internal/external reporting functions, including developing and implementing process improvements within the CFO’s organization and certain administration departments. In addition, the role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Company’s procure-to-pay process, activities related to reconciling, settling, and disclosing related party transactions. In addition, responsible for certain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and account analysis.
What will you do?
Assist the VP Finance Operations & Optimization with the Company’s financial transformation efforts by creating efficiencies and improving existing processes. This includes leading key system implementations and driving alignment across the MSG Family of Companies to ensure best use of key technologies and systems.
Own and maintain the organization's Chart of Accounts (COA) structure and governance framework, including the review and approval of requests for new accounts, changes, or deactivations to ensure alignment with financial reporting requirements and accounting standards.
Establish and maintain COA policies, documentation, and change control processes, and ensure consistency of account usage across business units and systems.
Ensure the COA supports management reporting, planning, and analysis needs by partnering with FP&A, finance leadership, and Financial Reporting to maintain GAAP/IFRS compliance.
Collaborate within the CFO organization and IT to implement reporting efficiencies and synergies across the organization.
Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for internal management and external stakeholders.
Design and produce standardized financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across ERP systems, consolidation tools, and reporting platforms.
Support internal and external audits by providing reporting structures and documentation.
Lead or support finance transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and process optimization.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting workflows through technology and standardization.
Develop and implement best practices for financial data governance and reporting efficiency.
Serve as the primary liaison between Accounting, FP&A, IT, and Business Units regarding COA structure and financial reporting needs.
Provide guidance and training to finance teams on proper account usage and reporting practices.
Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and integration projects affecting financial data structures.
Develop enhanced SOX controls to better support the Accounting organization’s compliance functions and drive efficiency in internal and external audit.
Monitor adherence to accounting policies and reporting standards.
