MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Silverdale, WA. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of specialized engineering projects associated with Navy acoustics, vibration analysis, and signal processing
  • Engineer modular data acquisition systems (DAQ) for the certification of naval equipment, integrating multiple sensor inputs including pressure, temperature, and frequency-domain insights
  • Conduct advanced vibration analysis and precision machinery balancing to enhance the reliability of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers
  • Prepare automated report generation suites and technical documentation for naval equipment certification
  • Coordinate team tasks, schedules, and safety protocols for complex engineering test stands

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in noise-critical environments or vibration analysis
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW for automated sequencing, control, and data logging
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and Solidworks for numerical analysis and component design
  • Demonstrated knowledge of underwater acoustics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation
  • Self-starter with excellent people skills

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
