Responsibilities

* Must have prior experience working in a Paint Spraying booth. Ideally having worked previously with Auto Body shops, or commercial/industrial spray painting applications.
β€’ Computes paint mixture formulas.
β€’ Plans and programs sequence of tasks in spray paint booth.
β€’ Moves controls to adjust paint booth furnace temperature and spray paint
β€’ Inspects painted surfaces for paint coverage, flow of paint, and color quality.
β€’ Measures thickness and viscosity of paint applied to objects.
β€’ Reviews production schedules and estimates requirements for completion of job.
β€’ Enforces safety regulations.
β€’ Interprets specifications and job orders to determine duties, if needed.
β€’ Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
β€’ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
β€’ Suggests changes in use of equipment to increase quality and efficiency.
β€’ Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists co-workers in solving work problems.
β€’ Maintains time and production records.
β€’ Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
β€’ Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
β€’ Performs additional or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


β€’ Certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
β€’ Must be highly organized and attentive to detail.
β€’ Basic to intermediate mathematical skills needed.
β€’ Strong verbal communication skills necessary to collaborate and respond to others and questions appropriately. Able to read and interpret written information.
β€’ Must observe safety and security procedures.
β€’ Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policies, etc.
β€’ Must be a team player, able to collaborate with other departments.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
