Were seeking passionate and driven Physicians to join our Hematology/Oncology team in Grand Rapids. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Opportunities exist to focus on hematology or solid tumor and secondarily cover a full scope of hematology/oncology patient care, including but not limited to new patient referrals, and established patients actively in treatment and follow up care. Candidates will need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

  • Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
  • Comprehensive, multidisciplinary oncology service line , including a growing team of multiple hematologists and network access to subspecialties such as Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Thoracic and Colorectal Surgery
  • Expansive Cancer Network serving much of the West Michigan region and Lake Michigan shoreline, supported by an extensive primary care referral base and affiliation with the University of Michigan
  • Robust ancillary support and programs , including Advanced Practice Providers, Infusion Services, Care Management, Social Work, Nurse Navigation, Nurse Triage, Research, Clinical Trials, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Genetics, and Financial Counseling

Requirements

  • Fellowship training required
  • Physicians: Shall be board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or is board eligible and will become board certified within five years following the Start Date (unless sooner required by the applicable medical staff by-laws)
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing direct patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participating in teaching and mentoring
  • Documenting in Epic EMR
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health efforts
