Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Nocturnist Hospitalist for Beverly Hospital to provide overnight inpatient care, supervise APPs, and support resident-led admissions in a tertiary academic setting. You'll work a 7 on/7 off block schedule with ICU handling codes, and be part of a large, collegial Hospital Medicine division. Nocturnist Role Details Schedule:
7 on, 7 off block schedule.
Code Response:
Nocturnists
do not respond to codes
; the ICU handles them.
Rapid Response:
Nocturnists currently lead Rapid Responses with residents.
Admissions:
Overnight Internal Medicine admissions are handled by residents, with 4-6 staffed by a Nocturnist.
Patient Care:
Provide direct patient care and supervise Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) for both admissions and cross-coverage.

Candidate Qualifications Education:
Strong academic credentials are required, including
Residency Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Retention Incentive After 1 year:
1 shift reduction per month for 1.0 FTE (or equivalent).

A model with about 85% geographic cohorting and daily multidisciplinary and transition care rounds across all sites.
Co-Management Services: Orthopedic Surgery at LHMC
Hematology at LHMC
Inpatient Teaching: Rounds with Internal Medicine residents and UMass Chan medical students.
Junior Hospitalist rotation for new PGY2 Internal Medicine residents every July and August.
Medicine rotation for international medical students at LHMC (approximately 25 students annually).

Pay Range: $165,000.00 USD - $180,000.00 USD The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
