Requirements

  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, including management of high-risk pregnancies and obstetrical emergencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Physicians must be board certified or board eligible
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Each shift you will be partnered with one other OBGYN experienced physician, one skilled Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM), delivering approximately 1,100 babies annually. There will be another IHA physician in house with you Sunday night to Friday night. On weekends, the other IHA physician is on home call.
  • It is a Level I maternity level of care facility, delivering 35 weeks and above.
  • Provide consulting services in the emergency center, specializing in gynecologic care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and urgent gynecologic conditions.
  • Provide expert obstetrical and gynecological care, including managing labor, responding to emergencies, and overseeing patient care throughout their journey.
  • Contribute to the success of the department while fostering a culture of compassionate and respectful patient care.
