The Role

Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS1, helping pupils build confidence in phonics, early reading, writing, and number work. You will reinforce class learning, support children who need extra guidance, prepare simple classroom resources, and work closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged and make progress.

The Candidate: You are patient, encouraging, and able to explain ideas clearly to younger pupils. You want practical classroom experience, enjoy helping children grow in confidence, and are keen to develop the day-to-day skills needed for a future in teaching.

Requirements • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject. • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication. • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing. • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
