Project Manager Ipswich Negotiable PAYE Umbrella day rate depending on experience.

A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a contract basis on a project in Ipswich.

With a strong order book of secured infrastructure and environmental improvement projects across the South West, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business that offers long-term career stability, a supportive management structure and the chance to lead schemes that make a real impact within local communities.

The Role Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing projects safely, on programme and within budget Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors Developing and maintaining project programmes Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings Overseeing quality assurance, ITPs and project documentation Monitoring project performance, risks and opportunities Working closely with commercial teams to ensure effective cost control Coordinating design, temporary works and construction activities Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards

Requirements

Previous experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering Strong background delivering infrastructure, flood alleviation, earthworks, drainage, highways or environmental projects Experience managing projects under NEC contracts Excellent leadership and communication skills Commercial awareness and programme management experience Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams

Qualifications

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management SMSTS CSCS Card First Aid at Work
