Our client, a metal fabrication company is seeking a Quality Inspector/CMM Operator to join their team. As a Quality Inspector/CMM Operator you will be part of the Quality Dept. supporting Plant Quality. The ideal candidate will have GD&T skills, blueprint reading and CMM experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $24.50-36.50/hour + bonuses

What’s the Job?

  • Utilize CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools to perform dimensional checks
  • Document and record inspection results, ensuring all measurements meet required tolerances and quality standards
  • Proficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts
  • Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at “receiving” as outlined by the process
  • Program and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment proficiently

What’s Needed?

  • 5+ years working preferably in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software) is required
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
