Job Description

Position Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and sustaining comprehensive quality systems across four manufacturing and supply chain facilities. This role owns the development and execution of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and other applicable global standards, ensuring consistent product and process quality while meeting customer and organizational requirements.

Working in close partnership with Global Quality, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Quality Manager drives a culture of quality accountability, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement. This position leads quality assurance strategy, oversees compliance activities, and ensures effective investigation and resolution of product non-conformances through corrective and preventive actions.

Through data-driven analysis, audit leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives, the Quality Manager strengthens operational performance, supports global compliance objectives, and advances best practices across a multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, well versed quality departments at four facilities.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with relevant international standards and regulations.
  • Develop and execute a quality assurance strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Define and track key quality metrics to measure and report on the performance of products and processes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management highlighting quality trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate quality-related risks.
  • Support compliance with global standards.
  • Partner with Global Quality, Operations Management, and other pertinent departments to ensure customer and Victaulic requirements are met.
  • Lead investigations into product non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Implement corrective action plans and monitor remediation effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to QMS and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback from various sources.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance overall quality performance.
  • Assist with ISO 9001 audits and maintain all necessary records and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and company policy.

Qualifications

  • 8-12+ years of experience in quality within manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience working with global facilities.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is highly desirable.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO:9001 is required.
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to deliver well organized presentations to a large audience.
  • Able to make independent decisions without supervisory assistance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of global manufacturing environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (Operations, EHS, Quality, Procurement).
  • Analytical and risk management expertise.
  • Ability to influence plant leadership and senior executives.
  • Strong project management and audit capabilities.
