Job Description

Under the direction of a radiologist, to perform radiological procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. To assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. May be assigned a variety of other duties by department management to include, but not limited to: patient escort services, quality control and participation in a variety of training and committee work, including maintenance of accreditation according to the ARRT.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in radiography or registry eligible required. Must become registered within one year of hire date. CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. One (1) year experience in general radiography preferred.
