Our client, the manufacturing industry specializing in refrigerated transport solutions, is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be part of the production support team supporting installation, testing, and repair of refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Location

Rice Lake, WI

Pay Range: $20.37 - $23.62

Shift: Monday through Thursday 6am - 4pm

What's the Job?

  • Install and assemble refrigeration systems, components, and controls into refrigerated truck bodies in accordance with engineering specifications and production schedules
  • Perform system charging, evacuation, leak detection, and functional testing of refrigeration units
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, sensors, wiring, and controls as needed
  • Verify systems achieve required temperature performance for frozen food transport

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or apprenticeship preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or transport refrigeration
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal preferred)
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, compressors, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
