We are currently looking for a Retail Construction Project Manager in the United States.
This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end retail construction projects across a dynamic, design-driven, and fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee store builds, refits, and closures, ensuring each location reflects strong brand identity, operational excellence, and customer experience standards. The position combines project management, budget oversight, and hands-on site involvement, requiring both strategic coordination and practical execution. You will collaborate closely with design, real estate, finance, and retail operations teams to bring physical retail spaces to life. The environment is highly collaborative and creative, demanding flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills. This is a role where your work directly shapes in-store experiences across a large North American retail network.
\Lead end-to-end management of retail construction projects, including new store openings, refits, refreshes, closures, and maintenance of existing locations.
Manage project budgets (CapEx), including estimating, tracking actuals, forecasting, and ensuring financial accuracy across all initiatives.
Develop and execute detailed project schedules in collaboration with retail, real estate, finance, and space planning teams.
Provide hands-on support during store builds, installations, refits, and closures when required to ensure successful execution.
Maintain and improve reporting on project status, budgets, and timelines for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with designers and cross-functional partners to ensure construction execution aligns with design intent and brand standards.
Continuously identify process improvements, industry best practices, and opportunities to enhance retail construction delivery.
Support interpretation of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to guide accurate project execution.
5+ years of experience in retail construction project management, ideally across specialty retail, shopping malls, or urban retail environments.
Proven experience leading projects end-to-end, including budget management and construction delivery.
Strong understanding of construction processes, including phased builds, store openings, and remodels.
Hands-on experience with retail construction elements such as millwork, fixtures, and store installations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Ability to work independently while thriving in a highly collaborative, design-oriented environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred: experience with CAD, Concur, Google Suite, and certifications such as PMP or LEED.
