Part-time Security Staff role at RiverWoods Durham, a continuing care retirement community, covering Sundays 8am–4pm to help keep residents and the campus safe and well supported. You’ll do building tours, report hazards, handle basic facilities support tasks, and pitch in with campus projects as needed. - Tour facility buildings and premises to prevent fires, theft, vandalism, and intruders; confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed; report safety and/or fire hazards or security activities.
- Monitor status of lightbulbs, assist with floor care, remove trash/recycling from the building
- Maintains accurate work order logs and other required documentation
- Provides direct assistance to the Director of Facilities for special projects, annual preventative maintenance duties, or other tasks as assigned
- Assist with snow removal in the winter months to ensure safety for the community
- Assist Community Life or Campus Services team with other projects, room set-up, resident needs, or other requests
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 1-year experience preferred
- CPR certification, or the obility to obtain one required
