We are expanding our Coatings Team and looking for highly skilled professionals who bring precision, pride, and deep technical expertise to their craft.

In this role, you will apply advanced painting and coating techniques including airless and conventional spray, HVLP, brushing, rolling, and specialty finishes to prepare and coat mission critical components to exacting standards. Whether mixing precise color specifications, preparing intricate surfaces, or mentoring junior painters, your craftsmanship directly supports the performance and durability of systems used by the U.S. Navy and global maritime partners. At Jered, your work does not just apply paint it helps protect and extend the life of equipment that makes a global impact.

Success Criteria:

As a Senior Painter SME, you will spend most of your time preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and performing finishing work on complex metal and composite structures. The most successful team members bring expert knowledge, an eye for detail, and a strong safety-first mindset. They do not just meet expectations they model best practices and elevate the performance of everyone around them.

You will work in a high output manufacturing environment where precision, collaboration, and adaptability are key. Challenges include maintaining certification across multiple painting processes, troubleshooting equipment, interpreting complex drawings, and mentoring junior painters. Preferred Qualifications
  • Complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty preferred
  • Skilled in use of plural pump and conventional pot work knowledge
  • Prior Experience with Mil- Spec Painting
