Toast is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help build new Embedded Finance capabilities. As a result, we are well-positioned to provide financial services such as lending (loans, credit cards, etc.), equipment financing, and bank accounts tailored specifically to restaurants. We need your help to grow our platform and add the next generation of these products.
Join a collaborative team of Design, Product, QA, and other engineering members in developing robust and scalable full-stack software applications.
Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews to ensure implementation meet requirements
Advocate for best coding practices to raise the bar for you, your team, and the company
Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building software — contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team
8+ years of back-end experience in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages
Proficient with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production
