PALS BLS ACLS Job Details

Adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical ICU RN. Primary RN Care model. Nursing care ratios 1:2 for critical care patients. 1:1 nursing care support for burn trauma code 1 admissions and high acuity and post-operative patients. Needs include invasive hemodynamic monitoring (At least Q 1 hr). IV drip titration. Nurse driven burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula. Ventilator management. CVVH. Q 1 h pulse and flap doppler checks. Initial debridement and dressing changes. Conscious sedation. Surgical recovery. Epidural pumps. Job Requirements

Must have PALS certification (AHA). Must have BLS certification (AHA). Must have ACLS certification (AHA). Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start. Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals. Pharmacology 1 or 2 exam required prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% score. Ascension Specialty Exam completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score. Ascension Color Vision completed prior to start and updated every 3 years. Ascension Core Competencies completed within a year of start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score. NIH Certification updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group. Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years. Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation completed. Forward facing headshot with white or blue background for Ascension Badge Photo. Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG Titer; no declinations accepted. Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually. Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination. Positive PPD with negative chest X-Ray and annual TB Questionnaire if applicable. Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually. Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address on file. 2 Step PPD OR IGRA within required timeframes and TB Questionnaire updated annually. Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity; no declinations accepted. Valid Tdap within 10 years; no declinations accepted. Resume or Profile submission required. At least two professional references prior to first assignment. Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 90 days of first assignment, updated annually. EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days. Ascension Skills Checklist clinical only, completed within one year of start and updated annually. Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually. Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start. Ascension Confirmation of Assignment upon initial assignment and updates upon extension. Third-party employment verification for past seven years, updated annually. Schedule Information

Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (Day shift) Unit Specific Information

Burn trauma surgical ICU unit. Primary RN Care model with specific nursing care ratios. Invasive hemodynamic monitoring required at least every 1 hour. Ascension Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination accepted with mask requirement during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31). Ascension Exit Survey to be completed within 72 hours post assignment. Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding, to be uploaded by unit leader within a week. Hiring Manager Evaluation post-assignment optional. Ascension Name Change Document optional.
