Member of interdisciplinary team providing and managing patient care using nursing process. Promotes evidence-based practice through nursing protocols and procedures. Assesses patient status via interview, observation, and physical assessment. Develops individualized care plans collaboratively with patient/family and healthcare team. Uses appropriate interventions to achieve expected patient outcomes. Evaluates and documents patient progress throughout shift. Modifies care plans based on ongoing evaluation. Completes required documentation including patient charts and event reports. Demonstrates professional accountability and seeks resources for self-development. Demonstrates technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshooting. Maintains current knowledge and skills in evidence-based nursing practice. Promotes professional development of self and team members. Shares clinical knowledge through teaching and responding to learning needs. Demonstrates problem-solving in patient moving and handling when applicable. Promotes patient and staff safety using lift equipment when applicable.
