Travel Job Summary

Prepare patients and equipment for EEG and evoked potential tests. Perform EEG and evoked potential testing on patients of all ages, including bedside testing. Determine and select recording parameters based on patient diagnosis or complaints. Analyze data, study wave characteristics, and prepare results for physician review. Complete checklists, write narratives, and enter data into computer systems as required. Transcribe and process physician orders accurately according to policy. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards. May float to other departments or be on-call during scheduled shifts as needed. Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EEG technician. 2 years of prior experience as an EEG technician preferred. Regular attendance during scheduled shifts, including nights and weekends, as required. Required Certifications & Licensure

Board of Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) or Certified EEG Technician (CET) registry. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited EEG or END program with 1 year of experience as an EEG technician.
