Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts on nephrology telemetry unit
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week working 3x12 schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation)
• 1-2 years of experience preferred, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BCLS and NIH stroke scale
• Must be comfortable with peritoneal dialysis procedures
• May float to similar units within service line as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
• Chart in Epic system
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including unstable cardiac conditions, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, and renal failure
• Work with specialized equipment including lift equipment
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Support from interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
