Stroke experience and NIHSS are both preferred . Will need to precept and possibly work in the virtual room. This is a Stroke and Neuro floor. They also have ortho and spine patients. We are a comprehensive stroke center. Ratios 3:1 SD patients and 5:1 all other patients. Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of health conditions, from simple to complex. Essential Responsibilities
Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments. Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary. Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans with patients and families. Provide discharge instructions and hospital procedure information to patients and families. Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff. General Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
1 year of nursing experience. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Strong organizational, planning, and evaluation skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program. Required Education
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Required Certifications & Licensure
Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
