What You’ll Do

The Veterinary Technician or Assistant Supervisor role will allow you to take the skills and experience you’ve gained over the years in this profession and put them to great use in our hospital.

This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team. Technical skills that you will be utilizing include:

  • Physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Dentistry
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory work
  • Venipuncture
  • Catheter placement
  • Pharmacy
  • Patient recovery
  • Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals

Supervisory duties will include:

  • Team training, development and support
  • Implementing department policies and procedures
  • Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings
  • Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs
  • Record keeping
