Your Responsibilities
As an Assembly ME for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will:
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Lead and manage small scope capital projects
- Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations
- Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies
- Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations

What Skills You Need
- Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment
- A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks
- Experience in one of more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and working in a production environment
- Experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, Labor Standards, and Operator Methods Sheets)
- Ability to work off shifts and weekends if needed
- Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
- Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with MPPlanner for SOE and OMS development
- Experience working with incentive pay systems, especially gainsharing programs such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
- Experience working in a union environment
- Experience with JDAAT MES systems , machine diagnostics
- Experience with torque tooling
- Experience with AutoCAD and Creo View software
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience
(Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred)
