The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking an accomplished academic leader as Chair of Ambulatory Care to provide strategic vision, oversee clinical operations and foster research/education excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

Key responsibilities include driving patient volume, ensuring high-quality care and mentoring faculty/medical residents/medical students, reporting directly to the Senior Associate Dean/Chief Medical Officer. In addition, the Chair will be responsible for developing and implementing departmental goals, policies and budgetary management; enhance subspecialty access and improve quality metrics; advance research output and mentor staff; and oversee all operations and services for the department.

Candidates must have an MD/DO degree and be board certified in Internal Medicine with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Candidates should have demonstrated administrative and leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a clinical/academic setting. We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. We also offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including CME. Base compensation for this role is $375,000 plus faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
