CNC Machinist role on 1st shift setting up and running Mazak vertical machining centers, doing Mazatrol adjustments/programming, and inspecting parts to tolerance. Duties/Responsibilities
- Interpreting engineering drawings and CNC programs.
- Setting up Mazak vertical machining centers and tooling accurately and efficiently
- Adjusting and Programming in Mazatrol
- Making necessary offset adjustments to tools and work offsets.
- Maximizing efficiency by inspecting, cleaning, and skidding while the machine is cycling.
- Inspecting machined parts and ensure they are within the appropriate tolerance.
- Communicating relevant quantity and quality issues to management.
- Assisting with other Machine Shop projects, as needed.
Required Skills
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Experience on Mazak mills is helpful.
- Knowledge of Mazatrol programming, CMM and inspection equipment is preferred.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade School plus 1 year of CNC Machining experience -OR- 3+ years of CNC Machining experience preferred.
- Willing to train the right candidate that is motivated and ready to work.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand 8-10 hours a day.
