Job Summary

Performs assembly of sub-assemblies and inspection systems containing electronic, mechanical and inspection components by following work instructions, production drawings to required quality standard in line with the planned production schedule

Essential Functions:

  • Sub-assembly and system assembly in line with Quality ISO 9001 procedures
  • Contribute towards achieving the daily production plan.
  • Follow work instructions & process sheets & communicate any deficiencies/ ambiguities in either to your line manager (supervisor).
  • Maintain the working standards in line with operational organisation and the 5S policies.
  • Ensure that all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures are observed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required by the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of Electrical principals
  • A flexible and proactive approach.
  • The ability to respond to changes in demand and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to produce assemblies following work instructions and to self-check own work.
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment for example multi meters.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, lean environment.
  • Experience in computer-based material control/business systems and excellent team skills.
  • Highly organized, accurate and disciplined in maintaining an orderly work area.
  • Ability to apply the principals of the 5 "S" methodology.

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Good hand/eye coordination and mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to work with computer-based systems for data entry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English
  • Minimum of two years related experience
