POSITION SUMMARY:

Spray paints surfaces of materials or products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies either epoxy paint or rubber adhesive applications using conventional spray techniques and has experience working with both applications.
  • Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted.
  • Formulates the mixing and proper storage of chemicals and paint.
  • Loads and moves materials to work area.
  • Cleans work area.
  • Performs other routine duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years industrial spray painting experience.
  • Minimum six months prior experience with blasting equipment and degreasing equipment.
  • Minimum six months prior experience with operation of overhead cranes and forklift.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete manufacturing documents.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles of toxic or caustic chemicals with air mask provided.
  • Must complete respirator training, and must pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.
  • Prolonged standing.
  • Frequent bending, pushing, pulling and stooping.
  • Frequent lifting to 50 pounds without assistance, greater than 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Exposure to loud noises, requiring hearing protection.
  • Work in heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

By contractual requirements this position requires that all persons establish proof of US Citizenship. Dual Citizenship (US citizenship and citizenship of some other country) cannot be accepted. You will be required to provide original or certified copies of documents establishing your citizenship prior to consideration for this position.
