The IT Support Specialist troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software problems for Tennessee Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, and Hunter Museum of American Art staff. This support for customers includes setup, staging, and maintaining IT desktop hardware and software.

Provides troubleshooting assistance in resolving computer or networking Supports requests for IT hardware and software adds, moves, changes and Resolves problems with hardware and standard software applications. includes computers, monitors and various peripherals like printers, scanners, IP telephones, mobile devices, servers, etc. Helps maintain documentation on IT systems and computer infrastructure. Stages end user equipment in alignment with departmental practices. Performs preventive and/or scheduled maintenance to equipment, including Assists with IT managed systems that may include phone systems, security systems, data backup systems, or other systems. Completes required company and department training courses and attend support for IT managed equipment including computers, tablets, phones, etc. • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems • Knowledge of Cloud Service Delivery Models and providers • Familiarity with cyber security principles • Ability to learn, troubleshoot and support organization specific software and Excellent and flexible troubleshooting skills for novel situations involving the organization’s hardware, software, cloud ecosystem, and network systems • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
