Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience. Active Alabama state SLP license required to start the assignment. BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC. Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred. Experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow studies, and common geriatric diagnoses preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or post-acute care environments. Familiarity with electronic medical records used in long-term care settings. Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills.
