Temporary Procurement Specialist II
We are seeking a Temporary Procurement Specialist II to provide procurement, travel coordination, receiving, and administrative support to the Operations Division. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while providing excellent customer service.
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Work Environment: On-site
Key Responsibilities
Process procurement requests, purchase requisitions, and SCEIS shopping carts.
Obtain vendor quotes, required documentation, and appropriate approvals.
Track procurement requests and maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.
Coordinate agency travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and registrations.
Maintain travel records, receipts, itineraries, and supporting documentation.
Complete goods receipts in SCEIS/SAP and verify receipt of goods and services.
Work with Finance and internal departments to resolve purchasing or receiving issues.
Provide front office coverage by greeting visitors, answering and routing calls, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
Ensure procurement and administrative processes follow agency policies and state procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant administrative, procurement, finance, or business experience OR
High school diploma and at least 6 years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
Strong Microsoft Office, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
SCEIS/SAP and South Carolina state procurement experience are strongly preferred.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement, purchasing, finance, or high-level administrative support and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. They should be able to manage multiple requests, maintain accurate documentation, communicate professionally with staff and vendors, and provide front office support as needed. Experience with SCEIS/SAP, state procurement processes, travel coordination, or coding expenditure transactions is highly preferred.
