As a Wafer/Process Technician, you'll keep production running smoothly in a solar panel manufacturing facility by monitoring processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving efficiency and quality improvements. Process Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor production processes to ensure they operate within specified parameters.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and processes to identify potential issues early.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to repair or replace faulty equipment.
- Assist in setting up and calibrating machinery for production runs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and documentation on process performance, downtime, and quality metrics.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and tests.
- Work closely with the quality control team to resolve non-conformance issues.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Participate in safety training and emergency drills.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to support production goals.
- Provide training and guidance to operators on process changes and equipment use.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in solar panel production or a related industry.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
