Data Entry Specialist
$20/hour | Temporary Assignment | July 1 – August 7
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking detail-oriented Data Entry Specialists to support a large-scale database conversion project for a local organization. This position will play a key role in transferring, verifying, and maintaining sensitive client and student records as the organization transitions to a new database system.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large volumes of information, have strong computer skills, and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and verify client, student, and program records in a new database system

  • Transfer information from existing systems, spreadsheets, and documents while ensuring data accuracy and completeness

  • Review records for missing information, discrepancies, and duplicate entries

  • Assign student records within the system and assist with account creation and setup

  • Organize and maintain electronic records in accordance with established procedures

  • Perform quality checks and audits to ensure data integrity throughout the migration process

  • Follow detailed data entry guidelines, workflows, and confidentiality requirements

  • Collaborate with team members and project leads to resolve data issues and questions

  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and project completion goals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Previous data entry, administrative, records management, or office support experience preferred

  • Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to learn new software systems quickly

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Capable of sitting for extended periods while working on a computer and performing repetitive data entry tasks

Additional Information:

  • Training will be provided on the organization's database and procedures

  • This is a project-based assignment supporting a critical system transition

  • Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining accuracy
