Our client, a leader in property management and maintenance services, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting building operations and tenant satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location

Arlington Heights, IL

Pay Range: $25-27/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility.
  • Assist with repairs and inspections of interior and exterior property areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
  • Maintain and repair building components such as locks, doors, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other safety systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Support special projects like painting, locksmith work, and service requests, prioritizing work orders effectively.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various conditions, including heights and extreme temperatures.
  • Valid driver’s license for training purposes such as golf cart operation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
