We are seeking an experienced Recruiter with full-cycle recruiting experience to join our team. This role will primarily focus on managing entry- to mid-level recruitment across various departments across Macmillan Trade and Shared Services, including, but not limited to Editorial, Marketing, Sales, Publicity, and Operations.

This role will be responsible for sourcing a diverse slate of talent, building a positive candidate experience, innovating existing processes, and cultivating deep relationships with hiring managers. The incumbent will partner closely with hiring teams as a recruitment consultant, while ensuring every applicant receives an empathetic, world-class candidate experience.

What You'll Do

* Own end-to-end full cycle recruiting - Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates. * Consult with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation and sourcing strategies. Deeply understand the role requirements, team dynamics, success profiles, and establish realistic timelines. * Guide and train hiring teams on recruitment best practices, objective evaluation techniques, and structured interviewing to mitigate bias. * Deliver an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience at every stage, serving as a knowledgeable and thoughtful point of contact throughout the process. * Proactively build and maintain a diverse pipeline of high-quality talent through creative sourcing strategies, networking, industry events, and university partnerships. * Act as a company brand ambassador when interviewing applicants, and when representing the company at recruiting events. Place and update all job postings in various media including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners. * Use data and recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, pipeline conversion) to optimize process and advise stakeholders. Maintain accurate records in the ATS and contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting tools, templates, and workflows.

What You'll Bring

* Strong sourcing skills across LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, specialized job boards, and passive candidate outreach. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence, guide, and build trust with candidates and hiring managers at all levels. * Strongly motivated to create a diverse candidate slate in every search, building equitable processes and sourcing strategies. * At least 5 years of full cycle recruiting experience within a corporate or agency environment. * Proven ability to manage a requisition load while maintaining quality, speed, and communication across diverse role types. * Demonstrated track record of identifying inefficiencies in the recruitment lifecycle and successfully implementing process improvements and innovations through automation. * Experience in improving or implementing a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $83,000.

This position is classified as remote but is tied to our New York, NY office located at 120 Broadway. Employment is subject to New York State tax withholding under applicable regulations.
